Katahdin Forest Management, the Maine division of Acadian Timber, is currently seeking qualified Harvester and Forwarder Cut to Length equipment operators to work in our forestry operations in the Millinocket area. Exciting and fulfilling positions are available, using new and up-to-date equipment, offering first or second shifts within an hour’s radius of Millinocket.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Operate CTL equipment efficiently and in various terrain and weather conditions
- Perform daily minor maintenance, general service and repairs, as needed
- Ability to work safely while achieving environmental, quality, and production standards
- Dedicated to quality forest management and technology
Skills/Qualifications required:
- Positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Capable of lifting machinery equipment tools and parts, greater than 50 pounds
- Ability to perform minor mechanical, inspection and maintenance work
Skills/Qualifications considered an asset:
- Experience with logging equipment
- Proficient in recognizing tree species and their products
