We are hiring 3 positions immediately at You've Got Mail in Gunnison, Colorado!
Available Positions:
1) Mail Delivery: 4-5 Hours Per Day 6 days per week
2) Parcel Delivery Specialist Lead: 4-5 Hours Per Day 6 days per week
3) Mail Sorting and Casing: Mornings Only 2-3 Hours Per Day 6 Days per week
You've Got Mail LLC is a rural contractor that delivers local mail for the United States Postal Service. This includes both mail and packages, which you would be sorting and loading into your vehicle from the Gunnison, CO Postal Office and then delivering within the designated route.
This is a flexible position depending on mail load. Workdays are expected to be Mon-Saturday averaging 20-30hrs/week. Further flexibility on days worked can be considered based on coverage. Please reference position hours and days per week above for specific examples.
Experienced Carriers/Delivery drivers are preferred but not required.
Responsibilities:

• Arrive in a timely manner to case and collect mail for daily route
• Load vehicle with mail & parcels to ensure efficient delivery
• Deliver USPS mail & parcels to customer locations in a sufficient time
• Collect outgoing mail and pre-paid shipments
• Maintain accurate inventory of packages and mail
• Scan all Packages before delivering
• Obtain signatures for registered, certified, and insured mail items
• Follow all safety regulations while operating vehicles and loading/unloading packages

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• MUST have a van, SUV, or truck to deliver mail or parcels. 150 Cubic Feet of space required
• Mail Sorter/ Casing position will not need to work out of a car, but will need to have reliable transportation to work each day
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to load, unload, and handle packages of various sizes and weight
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to learn and memorize different routes

We are not postal employee's but we have to follow the same requirements to be able to enter the office to sort and deliver mail.
The USPS establishes expected timelines for delivery within a route and it is up to you to meet these deadlines. The job can potentially offer more flexibility depending on how efficiently you are able to sort and deliver the mail. Please keep in mind that mail/package quantities vary by day which can lead to longer or possibly shorter work days.
