Hiring !! Part-Time Experienced Childcare Teacher - School aged-children (12+ ECE - 2 to 6 pm)

Position Purpose:
To further the mission of BELLGRAD LLC through the development and management of program, human resource, financial, marketing, and strategic operations. The teacher is responsible for one Licensed child care center and must meet all the Title 22
licensing requirements (Including Title 22 CCR 101216. Personnel Requirements) for a School Age Child Care Center. Title 101216, Title 101516 requires that Teachers meet the following requirements:
(1) Persons who supervise employees and/or volunteers must be at least 18 years old.
(2) All personnel shall be in good health and shall be physically and mentally capable of performing assigned tasks.
(1) Good physical health shall be verified by a health screening, including a test for tuberculosis, performed by or under the supervision of a physician not more than one year prior to or seven days after employment or licensure.
(2) Each person shall have a health-screening report signed by the person performing the screening. This report shall indicate the following:
(A) The person's physical qualifications to perform the duties to be assigned.
(B) The presence of any health condition that would create a hazard to the person, children or other staff members.
(3) Personnel that pose a threat to the health and safety of children shall be relieved of their duties.
(4) All personnel shall be informed of their rights pursuant to Sections 1596.881 and 1596.882 of the Health and Safety Code.
(1) The licensee shall provide each employee with a Notice of Employee Rights (LIC 9052 [11/94]).
(A) Each employee shall be asked to sign and date the LIC 9052 (11/94) to acknowledge receipt of the form.
(B) A copy of the signed LIC 9052 (11/94) shall be kept in the
employee's personnel record.

(C) If the employee refuses to sign the LIC 9052 (11/94), a dated notation to that effect shall be kept in the employee's personnel record.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Assist in the direction, supervision, and organization of participants throughout the program in order to meet intended participant outcomes.
· Apply basic youth development principles while working with participants through communication, relationship development, respect for diversity, involvement and empowerment of youth
· Assures participants are properly supervised 100% of the time they are within our care
· Exercise organizational safety policies and procedures at all times
2. Participate in the development and implementation of program activities for participants within the mission and help to ensure positive outcomes.
· Responsible for leading or assisting with the teaching and coaching of activities
· Actively participate in all program areas as assigned
· Provide for a progression of activities within the framework of individual and group interests and abilities
· Assist in program areas such as sports, academic enrichment activities and camp activities as directed or needed
3. Maintain high standards of health and safety in all activities for participants and staff.
· Provide the daily care of each participant within your supervision including recognition of personal health needs, illnesses, or possible child abuse
· Ensure that participants receive their medications, if needed, as directed by Director
· Be alert to participants and staff needs and assist them with personal and/or health problems; discuss with your director when appropriate
· Be alert to equipment and facilities to ensure utilization, proper care, and maintenance is adhered to; report repairs needed or equipment/supply deficiencies promptly to Director
4. Be a positive role model in your attitude and behavior within the community to participants, families, staff, school personnel and other individuals you interact with on a daily basis.
· Follow and uphold all safety and security policies and procedures
· Set a good example to participants and others regarding general program procedures and practices including sanitation, schedule, and sportsmanship
· Support and build positive character within participants at all times
5. Positively represent the program when interacting with parents or community members.
· Meet and greet every participant and parent daily
· Provide parents appropriate feedback and information as needed for their participants to have a successful experience
· Follow safety and security protocols when participants are in public while presenting a positive image of the program

· Ability to use fire safety equipment as well as any sporting equipment
· Meet all qualifications and requirements required by California for child care employees
Education Qualifications:
Educational requirements per licensing states that an individual can meet the requirements to be a fully qualified teacher by only of the optional listed below
o Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
o Should have 12 post-secondary semester or equivalent quarter units in early childhood education or child development completed, with passing grades, at an accredited or approved college or university
o Preferred 1 or more years’ experience in Early Childhood Education setting.
o Ability to communicate with young children, supervise and direct play.
o Must obtain Pediatric CPR and First Aid Certification within 60 days of employment.
o Require DOJ, FBI and CACI clearance prior to employment through fingerprinting process
o Must clear physical and TB testing prior to employment.
o Current and valid CDA credential with the appropriate age-level endorsement issued by the CDA National Credentialing program of the council of Early Childhood Professional Recognition and 6 months experience
o Staff has 90 days of hire to complete AB1207 and must update every 2 years per health and safety code
o Acknowledge at Mandated Abuse Reported and complete the Mandate Reporter requirements
Child-Care Licensing General Requirements:
· Possess Preventative Health & Safety including Nutrition Certificate (within 30 days of employment)
· Pediatric & Adult First Aide and CPR
· Completion of Child Abuse Prevention training, Medication Administration Online and CDSS Mandated Reporter Training Online (AB 1207) within 30 days of hire
· Completion of Licensing Operations & Record Keeping CCLD- online within 30 days of hire
· All personnel shall be in good health and shall be physically and mentally capable of performing assigned tasks
· Obtain a California clearance or a criminal record exemption as required by law (from DOJ/CACI and FBI) prior to working with children on site
· This position is a supervisory position and requires the ability to make sound and independent decisions that protect children, families, staff, the program and the organization
· Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with all individuals at all levels
· Experience working in diverse communities and highly competent across cultures
· Ability to hold self and staff team to high expectations as well as skills in coaching and training staff
· Ability to understand and sign California State Licensing’s “Notification of Employee Rights” (LIC 9052)

- Live Scan fingerprints clearance
- Current TB test clearance and COVID-19 vaccinated and if not vaccinated should be willing to take the COVID test every week, should not come to facility if COVID-19 test is positive and should report to the director or managing partner
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States
· Verification of measles, influenza and pertussis will be performed and vaccination results to be submitted
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Knowledge of youth and youth development
· Ability to develop and plan programming and create schedules
· Knowledge of human resource management, maintenance, transportation issues, budget and finances, and program activities specific to the
program’s population/community
· Understand and have a working knowledge of positive behavior guidance and discipline with youth as well as supervised staff
· Based on availability and programming needs, working hours will be scheduled between 6:45am-6:30pm, Monday-Friday, with occasional weekends, for maximum hours of 40 hours per week. Some overtime hours may be required up to 5 hours per week
· Ability to have fun while also being safe
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to communicate and work with different participating groups (age and skill levels) and provide necessary instruction to staff and participants
· Ability to observe participant behavior, assess its appropriateness, enforce appropriate safety regulations and emergency procedures, and apply appropriate behavior-management techniques

· Visual and auditory ability to identify and respond to environmental and other hazards related to the environment
· Physical ability to respond appropriately to situations requiring first aid. Must be able to assist participants in an emergency (fire, evacuation, illness, injury, etc.) and possess strength and endurance required to maintain constant supervision of participants
· Some physical requirements may include prolonged standing, some bending, stooping, walking long distances, and stretching; requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity to manipulate equipment and program activities; requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate participant activities/programs and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs; willing to work irregular hours with limited or simple equipment and facilities; and with daily exposure to the sun, heat, and outdoor.

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
