The Direct & Institutional Business (DIBS) is a division within Morgan Stanley Wealth Management comprised of Morgan Stanley at Work, E*Trade and Institutional Consulting Solutions. The Institutional Consulting Solutions business drives the product management, sale and service of Advisor led workplace offerings for corporate clients, non profits, endowments and foundations and governments entities across market segments. Products include Retirement and Corporate Cash Management sold by both core Advisors as well as specialized channels such as Graystone Consulting or our Morgan Stanley Institutional Investment Advisors. Our products and services are designed to reduce financial stress and empower all companies and organizations and their constituents to plan, prepare for, and reach their financial goals through digital and human engagement.

Position Summary:
As the Strategic Scaling Associate on the Institutional Consulting Solutions (ICS) Business Operations, Insights and Execution team, you will be responsible for helping to outline annual and long-term strategic initiatives, develop corresponding project plans and align initiatives to objectives or key metrics across the organization. This includes but not limited to developing and managing weekly key performance metrics, project management, driving research and data collection to support net asset acquisition approaches, and supporting operational assessments and process improvements across the organization. You will create and manage processes by which the team reports on and shares progress, ensuring all team members understand the impact of their work on larger targets. You will help to support the broader team narrative by preparing various presentation materials, partnering with the ICS Strategic Reporting team to drive related analytics, and organizing collateral that helps to highlight team ROI and progress against current strategic initiatives. You will also partner closely with members of the WM Strategy, DIBS COO, Morgan Stanley at Work, E*TRADE and WM Platforms teams to ensure relevant team metrics and project plans are being implemented effectively, with a one firm mentality and best aligned to drive firm goals. The role also includes business management responsibilities such as supporting day to day functions like organizing team meetings, sharing best practices, and the development and distribution of other resources to drive ICS organization impact and team efficiencies.
Responsibilities:
  • Coordination & execution of new ICS strategic initiatives and corresponding internal strategy decks or program management documentation.
  • Partner with internal teams to aid in production of persuasive, data informed arguments to drive insight and scaling opportunities to help senior management make informed decisions.
  • Project management and development of timelines for key new initiatives before they are assigned to relevant vertical or SME.
  • Manage weekly project and milestone updates to DIBS and ICS senior management to update key decision makers.
  • Partner with analysts to drive ad-hoc projects and assist in managing a high impact strategy aligned team and developing a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
  • Partnership with ICS Strategic Reporting, Finance and Analytics & Data to drive key KPI reporting.
  • Maintain cross departmental relationships to advance firmwide strategies.
  • Provide research and insights into industry trends to drive organic growth of our solutions.
  • Management and maintenance of Microsoft Teams channels and Share Point, to enable efficient collaboration cross team.
  • Support business management responsibilities including business planning, new hire onboarding, policy formation and budgeting,
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2-5 years of relevant financial services industry, analytics and data, project management, strategy, or related experience.
  • Candidate is driven to learn and grow, not afraid to ask questions and raise their hand, and shows general interest in MS Institutional Consulting Solutions, Retirement industry and workplace offering as a whole.
  • Clear and confident communicator, able to translate complex ideas into easy-to-follow updates.
  • Advanced knowledge of Power Point for strategy visualizations and Excel for reporting and analytics.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills critical
o Accuracy, attention to detail, strong organizational skills are vital
o Strong quantitative skills
o Knowledge of SQL and Dataiku a plus
o Ability to analyze large datasets and produce insights and recommendations based on results
  • Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Strong project management, organization, planning skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and bring focus with recommendations on solving tactical and strategic challenges

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $57,000 and $115,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs
