Job Description: The Spray Applicator is responsible for applying pesticides and nutrients on and around our nursery crops. This person will help to execute cultural, mechanical, biological, and chemical control methods tailored to specific pest problems. Spray Applicators will work closely with crop production teams. This individual will work hands-on spraying and evaluating the crops, ensure accurate reports of the applications are relayed to management, and implement IPM strategies designated by the IPM manager.
Main Purpose: To apply plant protection products and protect ornamental crops from economical pests to ensure increased productivity as well as increased quality of crops.
Responsibilities and Duties:
· Daily Tasks:
o Applying chemicals and nutrients to plants for pest and disease control.
o Complete daily application reports.
o Maintaining accurate records of pest management activities, pesticide applications, and monitoring results.
Requirements:
· Candidate MUST be a self-motivated and detail-oriented person with high drive to be able to focus in a high-tempo environment with ability to adapt to changing situations daily
· Must be comfortable working outside in all weather conditions
· Good communication skills both written and verbal
· Ability to complete repetitive tasks efficiently and accurately
· Experience or knowledge in horticultural crop production (preferred)
· Commercial or Private Pesticide Applicator License (preferred)

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
