POSITION DESCRIPTION
POSITION TITLE: Kettle Coordinator
LOCATION/DEPT: Oakbrook Terrace Corps
REPORTS TO: Corps Officers
FLSA CATEGORY: Non-Exempt
STATUS TYPE: TPT
OUTCOMES
Interview and processing of hired bell ringers. Acts as a liaison between the hired bell ringers and Corps Officers along with the Business Administrator.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Interviews, recruits, screens, and selection of bell ringing staff.
- Process of bell ringer applications with DHQ.
- Assists Kettle Administrator to coordinate and maintain bell ringing site schedules.
- Work with bell ringers to resolve payroll discrepancies as needed.
- Assists Kettle Administrator to ensure the daily route sheets are printed and distributed, if needed.
- Field calls on the Bell Ringer hotline during working hours.
- Prepare coffee and refreshments for bell ringers prior to the start of their shift.
- All other duties as assigned.
This position reports to the Corps Officers.
In contacts related to this position's duties, this individual acts as a representative of The Salvation Army and its mission.
PERFORMANCE MEASURMENTS
This individual will be evaluated on how effectively the outcomes of this position are achieved.
Timeliness and accuracy of accomplishing assigned goals will be reviewed.
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE
- A High School diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Driver's license/MVR clearance.
- Demonstrated ability to use initiative and be a self-starter.
- An attention to detail, procedures, processes, and policies.
- Interpersonal skills and the ability to work with others.
- Maintain positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that fosters good relationships with clients, co-workers, and supervisors.
- Resolution of conflicts in a professional manner.
- Courteous treatment of staff, visitors, and clients; respect of others' property and person.

- This position is required to do moderate physical work and must be able to lift 15 pounds.
- The work environment for this position is the Corps office.
