What you will enjoy doing*

You will Prepare and evaluate cubicle qualification samples (Tab samples)
Further you will also prepare and evaluate sample parts and customer hardware (Part cut ups) and prepare and evaluate physical properties (e.g. Hardness – Micro and Macro)
You will Perform set-ups, and operate a variety of standard lab equipment, while adhering to prescribed methods of operation
Calibrate and maintain lab equipment is required in this role
Moreover you will order all Met Lab supplies including polishing suspensions, grit paper, etc.
You will perform quality evaluations of standard coatings in a timely manner, identifying problem areas and reporting results to appropriate individuals
Accurate record keeping for all of the above

What makes you great

A High School Diploma/GED and 5 years' related experience such as in quality, manufacturing, or similar environment
You must be able to complete Linde Metallurgical Technician Training and Metcut Training, and maintain certification(s)
Further, you must be able to perform quality evaluations of standard coatings and basic investigations into metallurgical issues at a level typically acquired through lab experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong written and verbal communication skills is required
Moreover, you must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends and holidays as needed
