Raytheon’s Naval Systems department is seeking a Principal System Engineer to join our System Integration team. Integration and Test engineers are responsible for interconnecting subsystems, identifying and resolving system level issues that may stem from software or hardware anomalies, and developing automated or operator-driven tests in support of system-level requirements verification.

What You Will Do

• Analysis of Naval Platform Combat System performance - Anti Air Warfare domains including Missile (ESSM/SM2) performance, RF sensors, C2/C3I, and Weapon Control air defense, threat identification & tracking, intercept of anti-ship missiles/threat aircraft
• Support system level integration planning, execution, and reporting
• You will communicate and collaborate with other Senior and Principal Level Software Engineers, mentoring junior engineers/interns.
• You will be responsible for providing direct support to stakeholders to answer questions and solve technical issues.
• This position is onsite in Portsmouth, Travel expected 10% domestic travel.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, and/or Java
• Experience with UNIX and/or Linux
• Experience with operational analysis, requirements analysis, and/or system performance measure of effectiveness analysis
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience with simulation and performance analysis of one or more Anti Air Warfare domains including Missile (ESSM/SM2) performance, RF sensors, C2/C3I, and Weapon Control
• Familiarity with Agile/SCRUM, particularly SCRUM Master Experience
• Knowledge of Design of Experiment analysis (determining factor effects on desired responses, identification of important interactions, developing diagnostic statistics and graphs to interpret results, response optimization, etc.)
• Familiarity with JMP statistical Software
• Modeling and analysis experience with Naval Weapons Systems

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
