The Bay Crane Companies are looking for a Assistant Procurement Manager to join our team.
The Bay Crane Companies were started in 1939 and have grown to become a leader in crane rental and specialized transportation solutions in the United States. The Bay Crane Companies operate out of 16 full service locations in Connecticut, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Rhode Island, and West Virginia. The position would be based out of the Garden City, New York or the Regional Office in Columbus, Ohio.
Responsibilities:
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

Responsibilities:
- Manage and negotiate sourcing agreements and relationships as directed by management, consistent with the organizational goals and objectives
- Responsible for program improvement and cost reduction, focusing on refining current strategic relationships and developing new suppliers in non-equipment categories
- Responsible for identification and realization of cost savings through spend analysis
- Assist management in developing and implementing company standards and policies on various purchased items
- Perform RFI’s and RFP’s
- Assist in negotiating contracts including Master Sourcing agreements, Demo Agreements, NDA’s, and Confidentiality Agreements
- Establish and maintain constructive supplier partnerships
- Develop and execute implementation, communication and compliance plans
- Onboard vendors, familiarizing them with processes and establishing vendor responsibilities
- Maintain productive and cordial relationships with vendors, encouraging two-way communication and acting as an intermediary when necessary to resolve vendor and employee complaints and conflicts as they arise
- Measure, manage, and report on realized cost savings, cost saving opportunities, supplier program compliance, service levels and category activity of key equipment suppliers.
- Participate in the development of policies related to category usage to drive savings while meeting business demands
- 10-20% travel is expected
- BA/BS degree; Finance, Management, Operations/Purchasing, Accounting or related experience preferred
- 3-5 years of Strategic Sourcing or Purchasing experience required with demonstrated success in executing all aspects of strategic sourcing
- Financial skills are highly desired and process re-engineering experience a plus
- Ability to prioritize and work collaboratively with field and operations management
- Must be highly organized and able to effectively manage multiple high priority projects
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, ability to interface at all levels of an organization
- Strong computer (Excel) skills
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
