Enjoy flexible hours and work from your home office. Although the Trainer will be an RGS employee, the position is expected to function as a quasi-consultant role with a varied hourly work schedule. While much of our client work is in California, our training and development service is expanding into other states. The Trainer may be located in any state as long as applicant is available to attend meetings and deliver training in all United States time zones, particularly Pacific Standard Time. Weekly hours can range up to 20 hours per week depending on both the Advisor and project availability.

The Position
Under direction of the Training Manager, the Trainer provides training, facilitation, and coaching services for the Training service line.
Responsibilities include delivering and facilitating leadership academies and webinars; facilitating group learning activities and course content; assisting in designing and developing training content and programs; delivering training in virtual classroom environment; working with instructional designers and subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify training needs; applying trends and best practices in training delivery, facilitation, and adult learning principles; providing individual coaching and development sessions.

QUALIFICATIONS: Any combination equivalent to experience and education that could likely provide the required knowledge and abilities would be qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, industrial/organizational psychology, training, education, organizational development, or related field
• Five years of formal or informal experience delivering and developing training content and facilitating the development of adult learners.
• Coach certification or demonstrable experience serving as a Coach desirable.

APPLICATION PROCESS AND SELECTION PROCEDURE:
Appraisal Process – (Pass/Fail) After the closing deadline, applications will be screened in relation to the criteria indicated in this announcement.
This process may also include various interviews and/or a skills assessment exam to rank applications, and to prepare a Qualified Candidate List.
Application – Minimum Qualification Assessment - (Pass/Fail) All completed applications and supplemental questionnaires will be reviewed and assessed for each applicant's ability to meet the minimum work experience, training, and education qualifications.Remote Screen Interview Exam – (Pass/Fail) Candidates who pass the application assessment will be invited to a Remote Screen Interview Examination to evaluate training, experience, and other job-related qualifications for the position. The Remote Screen Interview will be conducted via a video conference platform and is tentatively scheduled to take place mid-to-late September 2024.
Performance Exam – (100%) Candidates who pass the remote screen interview may be invited to take part in a Performance Exam to demonstrate their associated skills in delivering virtual trainings. The Performance Exam will be conducted virtually and is tentatively scheduled to take place at the end of September 2024.
