Sales Dev/Data Analyst I

Position summary:
The primary job function is to provide data analysis and reporting in support of the Sales Dev team function. Assist in driving data-based business decisions and identify opportunities for premium growth within the company appointed agency force. The position also assists in the tracking of sales dev team goals through data analysis and reporting. This role would work with close supervision and guidance of the Sales Dev Team Lead.
Essential Job Functions:
The Sales Dev Analyst I role primary responsibilities include:
- Maintain and update data dashboards and other reports for Sales Dev team utilizing available BI tools
- Conduct general research and create specific on demand reports as directed by immediate leader
- Participates in developing the calculation and maintenance of current and future goals within the Sales Dev department
- Prepares ad hoc reports, graphs and charts based on direction from immediate leader
- Creates and monitors recurring reports on agency performance
Regular attendance at work on a full-time schedule of at least 8 hours and 40 hours per week
Education:
- Worker characteristics are normally acquired through the successful completion of a bachelor’s degree (BA, BS); preferably in Business Administration, Mathematics, or Statistics
- Preferred experience in data manipulation using tools such as SAS, SQL, R, Python or equivalent
- Coursework in statistics or business analytics
Experience:
- At least 1+ year working as a data analyst, preferably in sales development or similar analytical role; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Preferred general knowledge related to the Property & Casualty Insurance industry, as well as to the following specific product lines: Home, Auto, and Commercial
- The ability to learn from peers, but also the ability to self-learn
- Analytical and quantitative skills
- Basic mathematical/statistical reasoning required for accurate reporting
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Work requires professional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present findings on Sales Dev data projects
- Must have the ability to produce quality work within tight timeframes, simultaneously manage multiple projects and the ability to work in a team setting
- Requires the ability to work a flexible schedule and travel as needed, which may require overnight and/or weekend stays.
- Requires the ability to adhere to the Company’s privacy policy due to the sensitive nature of information handled in this position.

Pay Range: USD $60,355.00 - USD $111,694.00 /Yr.
