OVERVIEW
Under direction of the Director of Maintenance, the School Custodian is responsible for assisting in the cleaning of a school.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Trash and spot clean
- Dust mop hard surface floors
- Clean and disinfect entryway and all door knobs
- Dust and disinfect surfaces all high touch points
- Restroom cleaning and disinfecting
- Refill supplies (paper/soap)
- Mop/Disinfect hard surface floors
- Vacuum carpet and walk-off mats
- Assists with setting up areas for meetings, assemblies, exhibits, athletic programs and other activities.
- Remove snow from entrances, exits and sidewalks.
- Transports supplies and equipment.
- Performs related work as required.
- Knowledge of materials, methods, implements and devices used in cleaning operations.
- Ability to perform routine and occasionally strenuous work during long working hours.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and/or basic written instructions and to perform work in a safe manner.
- Ability to maintain a satisfactory working relationship with others.
- Ability to learn to safely operate a vacuum cleaner, wet/dry vacuum, and other related cleaning equipment.
- High school diploma or the equivalent.
- Six months’ experience in performing custodial work
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
