Unit Context:
ITS Workforce Solutions Unit Context - ITSWS, a unit within the Corporate Solutions vertical of ITS, is responsible for maintaining workforce solutions supporting approximately 19,000+ regular staff, 20,000+ non-regular staff in offices worldwide and 15,000+ WBG retirees and beneficiaries. The IT solutions landscape managed by this unit supports the entire employee life cycle including Recruitment, Talent & Performance Management, Staff Learning, Personnel Administration, Payroll, Compensation, Benefits, Tax and Pension Administration. The work program of this unit includes providing services that cover strategic advice to internal business partners, all aspects of IT solutions implementation - developing business requirements, design, implementation, and ongoing operational maintenance.
Job Opportunity
ITSWS unit is seeking a Senior Product Owner with dual role of designing solutions supporting HR domain and leading the technical implementation lifecycle. The position is for a highly motivated and versatile candidate with substantial experience in information technology and strong understanding of Recruitment and Talent Management HR functions. You will act as subject matter expert and lead the implementation of various solutions being deployed by ITSWS. We are looking for an individual who will bring a sense of client and product obsession to the team, has hands-on technical experience and who will ensure that our solutions meet expectations and deliver tangible business value.
Duties & Accountabilities:
  • Build relationships and engage with key internal stakeholders to better understand client needs.
  • Articulate detailed product vision and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
  • Playing a crucial role in driving product development and ensuring alignment with the business strategic objectives
  • Oversee and contribute to multiple solution lifecycles from conception through launch and beyond, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products.
  • Architect scalable, reliable, and maintainable product systems, ensuring they meet enterprise architecture standards.
  • Work closely with solution architects, developers, and other cross-functional teams to bring product concepts to life.
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and presentations across various teams (business, IT, Compliance, etc.) to drive project decisions and actions.
  • Deliver regular status updates to clients, identify and address risks, and reflect changes in requirements and priorities.
  • Participate in sprint planning meetings to define the scope of work for each sprint, prioritize backlog items, and ensure the team has a clear understanding of the requirements.
  • Conducting acceptance testing to validate that the developed product meets the defined requirements and quality standards.
  • Acting as the liaison between stakeholders and development teams, ensuring clear communication and collaboration. Maintain a prioritized product backlog that aligns with strategic goals.
  • Plan and execute product updates and future releases through a data driven and agile approach.
  • Deeply understanding and advocating for user needs, incorporating customer feedback and market research into product development to ensure relevance and impact.
  • Championing the product's vision, fostering a deep understanding across teams.
  • Assess impact to end users and need for change management.
  • Develop product KPIs that are measurable, actionable, and aligned with business goal and users’ objectives.
  • Actively monitor client needs, industry trends, Bank priorities, KPIs, and user feedback.

Selection Criteria

  • Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field, combined with at least 8 years of relevant experience OR Bachelor’s degree within a minimum 10 years of experience.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience as a senior or lead role implementing large solutions in global organization.
  • Professional experience in Human Resource domain, primarily in implementing Performance and Talent Management solutions.
  • Prior experience working with International Financial Institutions is a plus.
  • Strong product visioning and facilitation skills to lead requirements elicitation workshops planning and preparation, presentation, knowledge capture and follow-up.
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and launching technology products in large-scale environments.
  • Hands-on technical experience in HCM ERP platforms (People Soft will be a plus) and data integrations technologies.
  • Solid understanding of product management principles and practices.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and strong understanding of Agile planning tracking tools such as Azure Dev Ops. Certified Scrum Product Owner, Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) certification, or experience leading team is preferred.
  • Strong project management, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience with customer research, market analysis, and competitive intelligence.
  • Client Understanding and Advising: Should be able to advise the client and help them think proactively about how to best meet their current and future needs, taking into consideration the real underlying issues that the client may not be aware of.
  • Looks at issues from the client’s perspective and advocates for clients within own area as well as urges others to focus on meeting client needs.
  • Works with others across the organization to define client needs and develop the best approach to meet client needs (e.g., finds appropriate solutions and negotiates internally for needed resources and support).
  • Proven ability to define and track key performance indicators relevant to the product and the business goals.
  • Mastering of data analytics tools to measure client satisfaction, team velocity, and product metrics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in creating concise reports, and presentations.
  • Strong presentation and collaboration skills with proven record of leading meetings and influencing stakeholders in multicultural environments.
  • Passion for innovation and staying up to date with the latest technology trends.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Able to take personal ownership and accountability to meet deadlines and achieve agreed-upon results and has the personal organization to do so.
