Senior Software Engineer - National Remote

As an Integration Release Engineer, you will be instrumental in supporting the Mule Soft Anypoint Platform. This role is centered in a high-demand customer success environment, focusing on deploying code changes, providing end-user support, troubleshooting, and managing security settings in Salesforce and Mule Soft, among other cloud technologies. This position offers direct exposure to core business operations, emphasizing customer success through scalable solutions, processes, and applications.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate organizational capabilities to suggest improvements
  • Support the daily operational readiness of Enterprise shared Mule Soft platforms and Salesforce.com
  • Manage the lifecycle of change requests, deploying changes across various environments
  • Define and implement deployment schedules for various release types using technologies like Git Hub, Jenkins, Azure, Mule Soft, and Salesforce
  • Maintain the integrity of services integrated with cloud environments, including in-house and external systems
  • Act as a subject matter expert in Mule Soft, assisting in planning and analysis for system changes and enhancements
  • Evaluate new releases and applications for Mule Soft and Salesforce and stay current with administration best practices
  • Provide insight on secure application development and release management best practices for Mule Soft
  • Perform testing and validation for Mule Soft and Salesforce configurations and developments
  • Manage the implementation of releases, including task coordination, conflict resolution, and deployment
  • Troubleshoot and complete complex data loads effectively

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline is required. (8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education)
  • Certified Mule Soft Developer
  • Have extensive experience and knowledge to design, code, test, debug and document software in a variety of programming languages
  • Possesses knowledge of the latest programming languages and techniques
  • Experienced in creating strategies for developing IT systems and applications
  • Able to evaluate alternative approaches and selecting optimal approaches
  • 2+ years of experience in Mule Soft release management
  • 2 years of experience with Salesforce configuration
  • Strong knowledge of various Mule Soft connectors for critical enterprise applications
  • 1+ years of experience in Dev Ops, including familiarity with Git Hub and Jenkins
  • Service desk or similar customer service role experience
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex data loads (limits, performance, flows)
  • 5+ years as a release lead with hands-on deployment experience in complex environments
  • Knowledge of Agile project management and sprint planning
  • Experience with data migration into Salesforce and similar technologies
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Highly skilled in verbal/written communications, presentations, math, analytical, and problem-solving
  • Previous work in the government sector or in multiple Salesforce org environments is a plus
  • Copado experience
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively on cross-functional teams
  • Must have reliable internet service that allows for effective telecommuting
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government Security Public Trust 2 or 4. (level will depend on your role)
  • All work must be conducted in the United States
  • Must be able to communicate both verbally and in written form
  • Must be able to conduct work and be available in VA communication channels during (EST business hours)

California, Colorado, Nevada, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Hawaii, Washington, or Washington D.C Residents Only: The salary range for California, Colorado, Nevada, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Hawaii, Washington, or Washington D.C residents is $70,200 to $137,800 per year. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. United Health Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
