Description and Requirements
The Software Development Technician is responsible for assisting software developers in designing, coding, testing, and maintaining software applications.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the creation of various software components such as user interfaces, databases, and application programming interfaces (APIs).
- Write and test code to ensure it meets the specifications and standards of the project.
- When errors or bugs arise in the software, identify and fix them to ensure the software runs smoothly.
- Maintain the software by ensuring it is up-to-date and compatible with the latest hardware and software systems.
- Collaborate with other members of the development team to ensure everyone is on the same page and working towards a common goal.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Java, Python, C++ and SQL.
- Ability to identify and resolve coding errors efficiently.
- Familiar with software testing tools like Selenium, JMeter and Soup UI.
- Knowledge of software development methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
- Ability to communicate effectively with other team members, clients, and stakeholders.
