Description and Requirements

The Lenovo US Fulfillment Center in Whitsett, NC is looking for a self-motivated, energetic, and results driven Software Development Technician. This role is part of our onsite technical engineering and software development team. This is an onsite position (no hybrid/remote options available) and may require weekends and holiday work.
The Software Development Technician is responsible for assisting software developers in designing, coding, testing, and maintaining software applications.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the creation of various software components such as user interfaces, databases, and application programming interfaces (APIs).
  • Write and test code to ensure it meets the specifications and standards of the project.
  • When errors or bugs arise in the software, identify and fix them to ensure the software runs smoothly.
  • Maintain the software by ensuring it is up-to-date and compatible with the latest hardware and software systems.
  • Collaborate with other members of the development team to ensure everyone is on the same page and working towards a common goal.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Java, Python, C++ and SQL.
  • Ability to identify and resolve coding errors efficiently.
  • Familiar with software testing tools like Selenium, JMeter and Soup UI.
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other team members, clients, and stakeholders.
