Description and Requirements

The Lenovo US Fulfillment Center in Whitsett, NC is looking for a self-motivated, energetic, and results driven Software Development Technician. This role is part of our onsite technical engineering and software development team. This is an onsite position (no hybrid/remote options available) and may require weekends and holiday work.
The Software Development Technician is responsible for assisting software developers in designing, coding, testing, and maintaining software applications.

Responsibilities:
Assist in the creation of various software components such as user interfaces, databases, and application programming interfaces (APIs).
Write and test code to ensure it meets the specifications and standards of the project.
When errors or bugs arise in the software, identify and fix them to ensure the software runs smoothly.
Maintain the software by ensuring it is up-to-date and compatible with the latest hardware and software systems.
Collaborate with other members of the development team to ensure everyone is on the same page and working towards a common goal.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or equivalent.
Proficiency in Java, Python, C++ and SQL.
Ability to identify and resolve coding errors efficiently.
Familiar with software testing tools like Selenium, JMeter and Soup UI.
Knowledge of software development methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
Ability to communicate effectively with other team members, clients, and stakeholders.
