Project Background
The Enabling Farmers for Agricultural Transformation (EFAT) Project, led by Winrock International and funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), strengthens agricultural extension and advisory services and systems (EAS) as a pathway to boosting agricultural productivity among smallholder farmers and helping them diversify their livelihoods and strengthen their resilience in the face of adverse climate conditions.

The EFAT Project is supporting USAID Niger to strengthen the agricultural extension system in Niger by conducting an assessment of agricultural extension coordination. The assessment focuses on the crop extension services at the national and regional levels.

Objectives
To engage a skilled consultant to edit and format a 60-page technical document in French, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and adherence to Winrock's style guidelines

Tasks

• Improve clarity and readability by streamlining the flow, simplifying wording, revising awkward phrases and sentences, fixing grammar errors, and changing passive verbiage to active voice, where appropriate.
• Enhance efficiency/save space by removing duplicate information, removing filler words and revising unnecessarily complicated sentences/paragraphs.
• Revise text to meet character limits.
• Improve organization by reordering sentences within paragraphs and/or suggesting solutions to identified organizational issues.
• Revise as necessary to ensure intended meaning of sentences is clear (querying Winrock representative if needed).
• Use consistent styles for spelling, punctuation, capitalization, etc., in accordance with the Winrock style guidelines.
• Verify all citations and references for completeness and accuracy according to the specified Chicago citation style.
• Formatting: As needed, according to Winrock's style guide and/or other provided templates.
