$89,906 to $170,421 (CA, NJ, NY, WA, HI, AK, MD, CT, RI, MA)
$81,733 to $154,928 (NV, OR, AZ, CO, WY, TX, ND, MN, MO, IL, WI, FL, GA, MI, OH, VA, PA, DE, VT, NH, ME)
$73,560 to $139,435 (UT, ID, MT, NM, SD, SE, KS, OK, IA, AR, LA, MS, AL, TN, KY, IN, SC, NC, WV)
The expected base salary for this position will vary depending on a number of factors, including relevant experience, skills and location.
About the Job:
This role's main responsibility will be to manage the product roadmap for identified areas by defining and delivering the next generation of insurance services. Will not only develop innovative product solutions but also execute strategic go-to-market plans and cultivate essential business relationships to seize market opportunities. Responsibilities for this role encompass contributing to the product roadmap, providing mentorship to junior product managers, nurturing vendor relationships, and fostering cross-domain collaboration. The role also entails ensuring that product direction aligns seamlessly with organizational objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior leadership and internal stakeholders to align on the product vision and strategy.
- Contribute to shaping the product tech roadmap by providing insights and feedback from a technical perspective.
- Prioritize and manage the product backlog effectively, considering customer experience, performance, and operational load, as well as competing features.
- Participate in decision-making processes and contribute to product launches by working closely with engineering, UX, operations, business development, and other cross-functional teams.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders and customers on the product roadmap and status.
- Utilize data, usability studies, research, and market analysis to contribute to informed product strategies.
- Assist in establishing and tracking key metrics for product success.
- Assist in developing clear business requirements and user stories for product specifications and architecture.
- Collaborate closely with the engineering team to deliver key product features and mitigate delivery risks.
- Train, lead and motivate Technical Product Managers and product associates. Recruit top talent, mentor, coach, lead performance cycle and develop staff. Carries out the people strategy of the organization.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, engineering, or equivalent practical experience in product management
- Property and Casualty Insurance experience preferred.
- 3+ years product management and/or product design
- 3+ years managing complex initiatives from initiation to completion using product management processes and best practices.
- Experience in defining and implementing product metrics to track performance and success.
- Experience handling all stages of product delivery.
- Experience representing various customers and stakeholders during planning.
- Experience in implementing AI solutions to streamline operational processes.
- Ability to build ground-up solutions where none exist including all steps of ideation, problem discovery, customer usage, design, implementation, and monitoring.
- Strong critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations, assess information, and make sound decisions based on data and evidence.
- Ability to work as a partner and peer to your counterparts in engineering, program management and quality assurance.
- Strong skills in managing relationships with stakeholders, ensuring alignment between business goals and product development.
- Comfort operating at different vertical levels at the organization including individual contributors to senior executives.
- Able to develop and present complex problems in a straightforward way
- Exceptional verbal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in prompt engineering methodologies, encompassing the ability to formulate strategic prompts, refine model parameters, and optimize prompt-response dynamics to align with product objectives when leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Demonstrated proficiency in natural language processing (NLP) techniques, coupled with hands-on experience in overseeing the development of AI solutions utilizing Large Language Models (LLMs) like the GPT (Generative Pre-trained Transformer) series, ensuring alignment with product requirements and objectives.
- Proven ability to analyze complex workflows and business logic, translating requirements into automated solutions within decision and automation platforms while ensuring scalability, reliability, and compliance.
- Strong understanding of integration capabilities, including APIs and connectors, to seamlessly integrate decision and automation platforms with existing systems and data sources, maximizing interoperability and data flow.
- Proficiency in configuring rules engines, workflow engines, and decision tables within platforms like FICO decision Modeler, Pega Systems, Bizagi, and Appian, enabling agile decision-making and workflow automation across the organization.
