Purpose

This position will be training on various systems (People Soft, Unifier, and Kahua) and processes (invoices, reconciling project budgets, and reporting) in the UT System Capital Accounting Area.

Responsibilities

Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Record various types of activity to the general ledger and other systems and perform quality checks to ensure accuracy.
Analyze financial data for possible errors, and if necessary, initiate and perform corrective action. Utilize proactive, clear, and professional communication to provide changes and relevant information to supervisors and colleagues.
Document and update business processes and procedures. Prepare special reports for management or outside agencies. Build cross-functional partnerships with internal customers across the organization.
Collaborate with other UT System departments on cross-functional projects. Collaborate with UT institutions on appropriate accounting and financial reporting treatment.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field, (or equivalent related work experience in accounting). 3 plus years of fixed asset accounting.

3 plus years of fixed asset accounting.

Hourly Rate

$37

Working Conditions

Attire: business casual.
Standard office environment.
Use of manual dexterity.
Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation.

Work Shift

M-F, 8 am to 5 pm

Employment Eligibility:
