Description:
The warehouse associate supports the day-to-day operations of the warehouse. A successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively within a team, takes personal pride and ownership of their daily tasks, has basic math and computer skills, including the use of Word and Excel and able to use Google and/or Outlook email.
Warehouse hours are 8:00 – 4:30 Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Read, interpret, and fulfill work orders/instructions with efficiency and attention to detail.
· Fulfilling may include counting, sorting, collating, labeling, bubble wrapping, picking, packing, filling, sealing, branding, taping, boxing, shrink wrapping, self-management and organization of time-sensitive projects and the use of a proprietary computer program for receiving, label printing, etc.
· Properly stack, wrap and dim pallets.
· Safely operate various equipment such as a bagger, heat tunnel, sealer, branding station or bander, which includes basic troubleshooting.
· Participate in inventory counts and document results which may require the use of barcode scanners, handheld devices and/or a computer.
· Assist with inbound unloading and outbound loading of trailers or containers.
· Material handling which includes utilizing the proper operation of a manual pallet jack (forklift experience a plus).
· General organization and upkeep of the warehouse.
Experience & Qualifications:
· Understanding of basic warehouse workflow
· Basic math, reading and computer skills to be able to perform job tasks and complete necessary paperwork.
· Ability to count large quantities and accurately keep track of product.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
· Knowledge of safe work practices.
· Available to work overtime as needed. Occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required but advance notice will be given.
· Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to stand for up to 8+ hours a day.
· Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently.
· Must be able to perform physical job duties including bending, crouching, squatting, and hand wrapping pallets.
· Must be able to work under special working conditions such as a cold or hot work environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $15.69 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
