The opportunity
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Process Optimisation Manager to join our Group Cyber Security team. In this role you will partner with Group Cyber Security's (GCS) stakeholders to provide process analysis, modelling, and recommendations to support QBE and GCS strategy globally. Reporting into our Head of Business Optimisation, Security you will drive process design/improvement initiatives to successful outcomes.
Your new role
In this role you will:
- Assess the efficiency and effectiveness of existing business operations within Group Cyber Security to establish a base for developing improved structures, processes and systems.
- Lead process definition, re-engineering, and gap analysis while providing recommendations for standardisation, improvement, or redesign of processes to meet business needs.
- Use data to identify root causes of process gaps and make informed decisions for continuous process improvements.
- Partner with various business teams to align with project outcomes by gathering and analysing business requirements and implement process improvements and automation.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring proactive engagement and focus on improving stakeholder experiences.
- Assist in developing project documentation according to company policies and foster best practices, including innovative use of technologies, and implementation of management practices.
As this role sits within our Group function and has a global impact, the hours will not always fall into the standard 9am-5pm. You will not be expected to work beyond an 8 hour day, however at times this may need to be tailored to suit timezones outside of Australia, including Asia Pacific, North America and Europe.
About you
The ideal candidate will have significant Process Optimisation/Improvement experience within a Cyber/IT function. You will be a proactive forward-thinker, who enjoys finding creative solutions to problems.
- Exposure to business process re-engineering, commercial analysis, development and monitoring of SLAs and developing and executing business transformation
- Solid experience and ability to influence and engage customers and stakeholders to provide innovative strategies and solutions
- Ability to manage and obtain requirements from business users to gather and analyse end user requirements
- Comfortable working in areas of ambiguity and uncertainty where problem statements are not clearly defined
- Process modelling and repository tools experience or exposure (Visio/Signavio)
- Qualification or broad experience on Process Improvement methodologies e.g. Lean Six Sigma
