Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Air Conditioning and Plumbing Technician to join our dynamic team in Bahrain. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing sanitary and air conditioning systems across both residential and commercial projects. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of building mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire fighting systems, along with the ability to recruit and supervise freelance laborers for efficient project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation:

• Install ducting systems, particularly pre-insulated types, ensuring optimal airflow and efficiency.
• Set up air conditioning machinery, including AC units, Fan Coil Units (FCUs), and Air Handling Units (AHUs).
• Manage the installation of piping and drainage systems as part of plumbing and HVAC integration, ensuring compliance with local codes.
• Install sanitary ware, including toilets, sinks, and bathtubs, following all specified guidelines and industry best practices.
• Conduct pressure testing and leak detection on all plumbing installations to ensure integrity and functionality.
• Read and interpret technical plans, drawings schedules to ensure precise installation in alignment with project specifications.

Maintenance:

• Perform regular maintenance and repair tasks on existing AC and mechanical systems, ensuring reliability and longevity.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with air conditioning units and their components, employing effective problem-solving techniques.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on plumbing systems, including drains, pipes, and fixtures, to prevent clogs and leaks.
• Ensure the smooth functioning of air conditioning systems, adhering to manufacturer standards and safety regulations.

Team Management:

• Recruit and oversee on-site freelance workers, assigning tasks, ensuring productivity, and verifying quality of work.
• Coordinate with freelance laborers on new projects, effectively managing timelines, resources, and wage allocations.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols on-site, ensuring compliance with Bahrain’s safety codes and regulations.

Technical Knowledge:

• Stay updated with the latest HVAC materials, plumbing tools, and installation practices to ensure best outcomes.
• Demonstrate expertise in various plumbing materials, such as PVC, copper, and PEX, and their appropriate applications in installations and repairs.
• Ensure all installations comply with Bahrain’s safety and regulatory codes, maintaining high-quality standards.

Skills:

• Strong understanding of building mechanical systems, particularly in AC and sanitary installations, including pre-insulated ductwork.
• Proficiency in installing AC units, FCUs, AHUs, piping, sanitary ware, and drainage systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical plans and schematics accurately.
• Knowledge of plumbing codes and regulations in Bahrain.
• Familiarity with firefighting system components and integration with HVAC and plumbing systems is a plus.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant GCC experience in HVAC installation and plumbing maintenance.
• Location: Must currently reside in Bahrain.
