Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Risk Officer to join our team in Manama, Bahrain. As a Risk Officer, you will play a crucial role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential risks to our organization's financial stability and operational integrity.
- Develop and implement comprehensive risk management strategies and policies
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and analyze potential threats to the organization
- Create and maintain financial models to evaluate and quantify various risk factors
- Monitor compliance with local and international regulatory requirements
- Prepare detailed risk reports and present findings to senior management and stakeholders
- Collaborate with different departments to ensure risk management practices are integrated across the organization
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging risks to proactively address potential issues
- Lead risk management training sessions for employees to foster a risk-aware culture
- Develop and implement crisis management and business continuity plans
- Continuously improve risk management processes and methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
- Professional certifications such as FRM (Financial Risk Manager) or PRM (Professional Risk Manager)
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in risk management, preferably in the financial sector
- Strong knowledge of risk assessment and management techniques
- Expertise in financial modeling and analysis
- In-depth understanding of regulatory compliance in the banking and financial services industry
- Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation
- Excellent risk reporting and communication skills
- Advanced skills in risk management software and tools
- Comprehensive knowledge of financial markets and instruments
- Familiarity with various risk management frameworks and methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
