Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team. As Data Analyst you will be responsible for working with a vast and continually growing dataset of utility meter readings (7,000 records per second). The primary goal is to transform this data into valuable insights for energy banchmarking, energy management, commercialization, and a variety of reporting standards, including CSRD and ESG. Responsibilities
Data Collection, Cleaning & Maintenance:
- Manage and process large volumes of utility meter data, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Aggregate and align multiple data sources (electricity, gas, water, solar, etc.) with metadata like square meters and weather conditions.
- Analyze historical and real-time data to establish energy consumption benchmarks.
- Conduct in-depth analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for optimization across various utilities.
- Prepare and automate regular reports for internal and external stakeholders, focusing on energy management and operational efficiency.
- Support compliance with sustainability frameworks, such as CSRD and ESG, by extracting and analyzing relevant data.
- Develop and implement models to forecast energy usage and costs based on historical data.
- Assist in identifying new opportunities to commercialize data insights through product offerings and consulting services.
- Create compelling data visualizations and dashboards to communicate complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., operations, sustainability, finance) to turn data into actionable business decisions.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in utilities, energy management, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience working with large datasets, ideally in real-time data environments.
- Proficient in SQL, Python, or other programming languages for data analysis.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Familiarity with statistical methods, predictive analytics, and machine learning techniques.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a detail-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication skills, able to present complex data in a clear and actionable manner.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Experience in energy management or utilities sectors.
- Familiarity with sustainability frameworks like ESG, CSRD, or other environmental reporting standards.
