Job Description: Electrician for Energy and Building Technology (m/f/d)

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in various building projects. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical systems, the ability to read and interpret blueprints, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation:

• Install electrical systems, wiring, conduit, lighting, and fixtures in new and existing buildings.

Maintenance:

• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical systems to ensure functionality and safety.

Repair:

• Diagnose and repair electrical problems, including faulty wiring, broken fixtures, and other electrical issues.

Blueprints and Schematics:

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to determine the layout of electrical systems.

Compliance:

• Ensure all electrical installations comply with local, state, and federal regulations and codes.

Safety:

• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.

Testing:

• Use testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes to ensure compatibility and safety of systems.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with other construction professionals, including contractors, architects, and project managers, to ensure electrical systems are integrated seamlessly into building projects.

Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including materials used and time spent on each task.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an electrician apprenticeship program.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as an electrician, preferably in a construction or building environment.
• Licenses/Certifications: Valid electrician’s license required; additional certifications (e.g., OSHA, journeyman) are a plus. Driver’s license.
• Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and electrical codes. Familiarity with electrical testing devices and tools.
• Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects, stand, kneel, and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
• Class B driver's license
• Strong service orientation, problem-solving skills, and enjoyment of teamwork
• Very good communication skills
• Languages: Dutch and/or English and/or French
