A Ph.D. position is available at "Université catholique de Louvain" (www.uclouvain.be)
in the Institute of Mechanics, Materials and Civil Engineering (https://uclouvain.be/en/research-institutes/immc), which is one of the research institutes of "Ecole polytechnique de Louvain" (https://uclouvain.be/fr/facultes/epl). The topic is about the modeling and numerical simulation of swelling in parts made of thermoplastic polymers, either unreinforced or short glass fiber reinforced. Funding and experimental data are provided by a company in France, but the Ph.D. student will be registered and based at UCLouvain in Belgium. Applicants should possess a Master degree in engineering or science and a strong background in computational methods, preferably in mechanics or materials or other engineering fields, or in applied mathematics. Applications should contain: a detailed c.v., the coordinates of three reference persons, academic transcripts of all university years and the graduation ranking.
