Join us as a senior software architect and step into a world where your expertise shapes not just products, but the future of Sofico.

You will have a central role within the organization, aligning with various internal stakeholders such as product owners, software engineers, customers, etc. Together, you'll craft solutions that exceeds mere functionality, integrating in elements of creativity and innovation. Every day will be different, navigating technical and product designs alongside a team of experts.

This means you’ll:
Design scalable and cloud-native solutions based on functional and non-functional requirements utilizing modern development and Dev Ops practices.

Guide architectural discussions and make decisions with the team about frameworks and patterns resulting in ADR’s.

Develop architectural blueprints and principles based on domain-driven design.

Contribute to both the monolithic and microservice products and the transition between them.

Coach and mentor colleagues in the architecture process, decisions & solutions design.

Focus on both customer projects as well as product initiatives.

Your interests and skills

A keen interest in the functional and business side of architecture & design, with a focus on practical applications, consistency and outcomes.

Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest technological advancements and tools.

The ability to keep an overview and limit the complexity of applications, their data and their dependencies.

Drive design for change, privacy and security while fulfilling the functional requirements.

You'll benefit if you have knowledge of the following topics:
Programming languages like Java (Jakarta EE, Quarkus), Go, Python, etc.

Proven experience in API design, utilizing a domain-driven design approach.

Git Ops (Ia C) way of working on Kubernetes

Event-driven architecture (data streaming, webhooks, etc.)

Proficiency in English (Dutch is a plus)

Experience working in an Agile environment
