São Paulo
FULL TIME
September 23, 2024
Do you have a desire to make a positive impact on the climate and biodiversity crises by working with an innovative global think tank? If so, we want to hear from you!
Influence Map is a world-renowned non-profit think tank working on cutting-edge climate and sustainability issues. We are best known for the Lobby Map platform, which analyses corporate policy engagement activities on climate change and biodiversity loss. Our work has been featured in the media globally, used by hundreds of investors, and informed numerous climate campaigns. Other workstreams include the Finance Map platform - assessing the climate credentials of the financial sector, and the Carbon Majors platform – which tracks emissions from the worlds’ largest polluters.
With offices in London, New York, Tokyo, and Seoul, this is an opportunity to be part of a team of 65+ friendly and dynamic professionals and to help shape our culture as we continue to grow and evolve as an organisation. You will also have the chance to work with our global network of partners to help develop and share our cutting-edge content. There will be opportunities for overseas travel to ensure cohesion with our global teams.
We are seeking Brazil-based Analysts to join our team. You will be responsible for assessing companies on climate change and/or biodiversity loss. You will primarily be working on the Lobby Map program, which is the world’s leading platform measuring corporate climate policy engagement. By mastering our methodology and processes, you will have the opportunity to specialize in corporate climate policy engagement in Brazil and South America. You will have the opportunity to engage with our key stakeholders in the region (investors, civil society groups, the media, companies) and make a real impact on the trajectory of the climate and nature agendas.
Full training in our research methods and how to effectively communicate our results will be provided. Upon demonstrating your ability in this specialization, you may also have the opportunity to develop expertise in other areas; such as specific sectors, policy areas, or geographic regions, in line with the organization’s project needs. Our approach is highly data-orientated and involves accuracy, consistency and great attention to detail. Influence Map’s work is in widespread use by finance, the media and other stakeholders, thus we place great importance on the ability to communicate our content (both written and verbal) effectively.
