Responsibilities:
The Opportunity
- Align priorities with the bottlers and the Pepsi Co Region for the five operations pilars.
- Assure properly deployment of new initiatives to the plants in order to be in compliance with Global and regulatory requirements.
- Lead the development and execution of action plans for improving and sustaining Quality and Food Safety.
- Be the main point of contact for Quality Audits, Consumers Complaint resolution, Consumer Product preference and Water Treatment. Main Objective is not to have red plants into the 3C Global Scorecard
- Lead the Pep+ agenda, including plastic strategy agenda.
- Lead the thechincal aspects of Innovation with Bottler, Franchise, Finance, Marketing and PGCS Plant.
- Evaluate plants capacity utilization and develop new co-packers or participate into bottlers new line or plant implementation.
- Support the frontline and our Bottling partner in the execution of our annual operating plan, ensuring no gaps between sales and production.
- Lead the Productivity agenda, searching for benchmarks, new ideas projects and supporting its implementation to continue reducing costs.
- Lead the innovation projects agenda close to the bottlers.
- Lead field tests in suppliers of bottling plants for Productivity, Innovation and Quality & Food Safety.
- Build and analyze Engineering evaluations for Capex and Process improvements.
- Access and help improve the bottler’s capability & tools Implementation as well as execute the continuous improvement process.
- Assure the beverage concentrated kits healthy stock and its supply according to production plan.
- Support financial team with P&L projections for new projects.
Your Impact

Quality and Food Safety:
- Coordinate the FS and QAS results on 3C and leading its respectively actions plans, to have all of the plants out of the red zone.
- Manage all the critical data required to perform follow-ups and operations reports.
- Deployment of New Quality & Food Safety policies and new Pepsi Co Manuals to the bottlers
- Monitor the compliance of the Mandatory Requirements for Raw Material, Manufacturing Process Requirements and Food Safety
- Coordinate the bottlers Ingredient Water analisis, leading the root cause identification and action plans to mitigate risks
- Support the implementation of the Food Safety audits and follow-ups.
- Lead the Capability Quality Agenda by organizing training in order to sustain and improve the quality scores in the LAB-South region.

PEP+:
- Align Sustainability metrics with the bottlers.
- Align and lead AOP plans and priorities with the bottlers and the Pepsi Co Region.
- Monitor results and accomplishment of the Pep+ goals.
- Share best practices with bottlers to improve Pep+ objectives and KPIs.
- Lead the Pepsi Co process of test and approval for recycle PET usage on bottle to bottle.
- Lead the r-PET agenda by supporting bottlers to find new r-PET sourcings to ensure that both countries has the enough r-PET availability to reach our goals.

Line Start-up and Qualification:
- Lead new CSD & Hot Fill line qualification.
- Lead scale ups and first production runs according to Pepsi Co Policy & Protocols.
- Should organize and Submit detailed reports and documents for QA approval.
- Package and Ingredients Approval: Lead the approval of all the ingredients and primary packaging suppliers following the Pepsi Co SQA (Supplier Quality Assurance). This is key role to assure business continuity, applying correct protocols for validation new plastic resins, closure, bottles, preforms, cans and bag-in-box suppliers. As well as juices and sweeteners.

Productivity:
- Drive bottler productivity initiatives leveraging Pepsi Co Best Practices.
- Identifying best in class opportunities that can be applied locally.
- Should review, organize documentation (plant test report, transport report, laboratory test reports, etc…) and submit to R&D to obtain their approval when it is related to packaging or ingredient.
- Should be the project leader of the Productivity initiatives in the Stage Gate Process.

Innovations:
- Lead pilot and lab tests, plant scale-up, line qualification, transport and stack test, tests reports.
- Evaluate necessary equipments, Capex and time-line.
- Sample coordination shipments and receiving.
- Ingredients order for field tests.
- Should review, organize documentation (plant test report, transport report, laboratory test reports, etc…) and submit to R&D and QA to obtain final approval.
- Accolade: Data management of accolade numbers and follow up during the stage gate process.

Engineering:
- Determine Capex for innovations projects.
- Support bottler´s Cap Ex providing Pepsi Co standards, list of vendors and new technologies.
- Reduce bottler´s Cap Ex by leveraging Pepsi Co global player position.
- Evaluate the necessity of expansion Capacity based on the ESP plans and/or BDA agreements.

Plant Capacity:
- Calculate, identify gaps and implement productivity tools to increase plant capacity and product availability.
- Evaluate, approve and implement co-packers to expand production capacity
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Food Science or related technical field
- Knowledge of the Food and Beverage Industry
- Previous experience in Beverage/Consumer Goods experience in Technical Services/Operations, Quality and / or Manufacturing
- Desired some training and demonstrated experience in Food Safety, HACCP, GMP’s, Microbiology, Quality Systems and Water Treatment
- Strong Negotiation Skills in both Spanish and English languages
- Good organizational and interpersonal skills
- Excellent oral, organization and written skills
- Financial acumen and understanding of bottler and PEP P&L
- Capable to adapt to a multicultural environment
