Sr MATERIALS MANUFACTURING MANAGER

WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
This role reports into the Apparel Product Creation Team and dotted line to the Global Materials Manufacturing Director. Works in partnership with Nike Product Development, Product Integrity, Costing, Sourcing, Partner Management, Delivery Excellence and Global Apparel Materials teams. Leads apparel materials supply chain partners for fabrics and trims.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The candidate needs to have technical materials knowledge and project management experiences to lead the materials partners and achieve the expected goals from development through production. Strategic thinking, clear communication and effective teamwork skills will enable to consistently deliver the results in partnership with Nike cross-functional areas. Analytical and Negotiation skills build the competitive advantage to create data analyses and manage existing reports to clearly set the priorities.
Bullets to include details on:
- Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years in Textiles, Apparel or Footwear Management, or equivalent
- Work experience and strong understanding of textile manufacturing process and the product creation process
- Packaging and Trims experience is advantageous
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including meeting facilitation and presentations in Portuguese and English
- Good influencing skills, with the ability to champion complex projects across the organization with multi-functional teams
- Good negotiation skills, with ability to identify opportunities to improve costs
- Result oriented with the ability to clearly articulate goals, calendars and manage results
- Self-starter and able to work on your own, dedicated, self-motivated with a positive work attitude
- Attention to detail and organized with a strong sense of responsibility
- Understanding of windows office software as a tool for report, research, and communication.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
As a Materials Manufacturing Manager, you will own the Nike's Brazilian material vendors management. It includes working directly with our vendors on materials development and costing negotiations, vendor capacity planning and delivery tracking, vendor compliancy and sustainability targets. You will be directly responsible for materials risk management, problem solving, new tools implementation, continuous improvement process and vendor performance management. You will connect with Nike Global teams, align on priorities and guide key materials cross functional projects. Your will ensure vendors comply with Nike high quality standards.
