About the Role
This position will report directly to the Operations Manager and identify leads, provide quotes, close deals and position us an industry leader.
Your key areas of focus include:
Quote Freight and Manage Projects

• Supply competitive shipping quotes to your existing clients and new prospects
• Negotiate rates with carriers and vendors
• Manage customer accounts, resolve discrepancies, and ensure successful projects
• Generate positive relationships with all customers, prospects and carrier vendors
• Maintain margin goals and targets set by the company

Customer Outreach

• Utilize your network to develop logistics business with clients.
• Identify inactive shippers and develop your strategy to contact them and earn their business.
• Build pipeline, close deals and achieve sales targets

Your Qualifications
You will be set up for success if you have:

• Experience and knowledge of North American over the road trucking and logistics (dispatching, freight brokerage, sales, etc.) or Ocean / Air Forwarding
• An existing list of shipper clients in Canada and the USA
• Relationships with partner carriers in Canada and the USA
• Knowledge or experience of air and ocean freight is an asset
• Proven sales & negotiation skills with the ability to influence others
• Knowledge and demonstrated experience with successful sales techniques
• Computer proficiency, including MS Office and dispatch management software
• Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly and positive attitude
• Entrepreneurial spirit with motivation to set and exceed goals
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask, manage time effectively and prioritize tasks as needed

Compensation
This position is salary and commission based with excellent incentives and uncapped commissions.
