• As the Intern, High Speed Analog IC Design, you will be involved with:
  • The design, development, verification and characterization of analog and mixed-signal circuits for use in our data communications products.
  • Circuits such as phase-locked loops, equalizers, optical and cable receivers and drivers plus other key circuit building blocks. State-of-the-art Bi CMOS and CMOS technologies are used for these circuits.
  • Advanced CAD tools for the design, layout, simulation, and verification of the analog blocks plus scripting work for IC design and validation automation using Python, Skill, TCL, etc.
  • Semtech’s dynamic team environment and senior designers who will provide mentoring and guidance throughout the internship term.
• This position is for a 12 – 16-month student Analog IC design internship at Semtech Canada with the Signal Integrity Products Group (SIP) in our Ottawa Design Centre.

• Good understanding of analog electronic circuit fundamentals
• Ability to learn quickly and work independently or in a team environment
• Exposure to transistor level circuit design/analysis would be an asset
• Exposure to CAD circuit design tools (e.g. Cadence Virtuoso) would be an asset
• Experience with Matlab and/or scripting languages such as Python would be an asset
• Desired start date May 2025, 12-16 month term
