Appliance Repair Technician- 1 Year of Washer and Dryer Repair Experience

Our client is Canada's leading provider of commercial laundry equipment and services, offering a complete range of vended and non-vended laundry solutions. They offer a complete line of vended and non-vended laundry equipment, multi-load washer/extractors, and tumblers. With a robust inventory of parts and skilled service teams, they ensure top-notch performance and customer satisfaction.
We are currently looking for a Route Collector/Money Collector for full-time, permanent employment position based in Nanaimo, BC or Richmond in Vancouver Island. This on-the-road position reports directly to the Service Manager and provides technical support to minor repairs.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Drive a company vehicle to customer locations to collect coins and data from coin and card-operated machines.
  • Collect coins from each machine with 100% accuracy.
  • Accurately and legibly record machine counter readings.
  • Complete the collection route by the end of each day.
  • Perform collections at all locations during the designated 15-30 day collection cycles.
  • Maintain the monthly overtime goal.
  • Adhere to attendance and personal appearance standards described in the Employee Handbook and the Field Employee Appearance Policy Agreement.
  • Follow company vehicle-maintenance guidelines.
  • Maintain excellent driving and Worker’s Comp safety records.
  • Attend all required departmental/branch meetings.
  • Meet or exceed the standards outlined in the standard operating procedures manual.
  • Complete all required training-program exams listed in the standard operating policies and procedures manual.
  • Promote teamwork and cooperation.
  • Support minor service repairs.
Job Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • 2-4 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and understand road maps, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and policy and procedure manuals.
  • Basic knowledge of AVS procedures.
  • Clear communication skills when using a landline telephone or cell phone.
  • Valid driver’s license.
