The Opportunity:
We are seeking passionate individuals to join our team as Child and Youth Care Workers in Grande Prairie, Alberta. In this role, you'll be pivotal in a group home setting, offering specialized care to children and youth with complex behavioural needs. What sets us apart? With guidance from a dedicated Program Supervisor, you'll embark on a rewarding journey of growth and impact at Care Pros.
Available Schedules:

Evening (3 pm- 11 pm) 6 shifts on 3 off
- Evening (3 pm-11 pm) 4 shifts on 4 off
- Temporary Casual (First come first serve shifts)
- Establish a relationship to guide and support youth through mentorship, role modelling, and positive reinforcement
- Supervise children/youth at home and in the community
- Complete and maintain documentation of daily activities and observations

Participate in the Care Team through the ongoing development of care plans and programs
- Perform routine general program responsibilities such as cleaning and organization

Skills and Knowledge You Bring:
-
Direct experience working with youth with complex behavioural and mental health needs
-
Knowledge of Child and Youth Care work and best practices
- Trauma Informed Care understanding and proven experience
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong technology and computer skills
- Completion of a Degree/Diploma in Child and Youth Care or Social Work is an asset
- Suicide prevention training and/or Mental Health First Aid is an asset
Mandatory Requirements:
- Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver's License
- Alberta 10-year Driver's Abstract (10 years driving experience is not required)
- Alberta auto insurance with $2-million liability coverage
- Valid Standard First Aid with CPR Level C + AED (two day in-person training completed)
- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check obtained within the last 6 months
- Intervention Record Check obtained from Children Services within the last 6 months
- Your own reliable four-door vehicle to transport clients in
