Position Purpose and Objectives
Ensure cleanliness and hygiene of food processing equipment and other plant areas meets food safety standards set out by the facility.
Essential Job Functions / Responsibilities

• Performing daily sanitation duties including cleaning, sanitizing processing equipment and facility areas to meet food safety standards and maintain regulatory compliance.
• Following company policies relating to GMP, food safety, chemical handling(WHMIS), SOP’s / SSOP’s, and occupational health and Safety.
• Communicating and working with other departments and management to achieve operational success.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Applicable knowledge, Skills, and experience

• Attention to detail to ensure effective sanitation of equipment and facilities.
• Experience with safe chemical handling practices (WHMIS) and usage of required personal protective equipment (PPE) are an asset.
• Ability to lift up to 25 kg.
• Ability to work with limited or no supervision.
• First Aid level 1certification preferred but not required.

Working Conditions
Work in refrigerated/frozen, hot, or wet environments.
In-person; Full-time Monday to Friday (3:30 PM to 12:00 AM shift)
Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
