Position: Full-Time Delivery Driver
Schedule:
Monday – Saturday (One weekend shift required)
Start time: 6:00 AM
Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Delivery Driver who is committed to customer service excellence. You will be responsible for adhering to safety standards while handling food products, ensuring proper temperature and conditions during transport. This role involves manually unloading and delivering groceries and fresh produce to customer locations and completing necessary paperwork. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision, exercising initiative and independent judgment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
•*Drive safely following Federal and Provincial road safety laws.*
•*Conduct daily pre-trip inspections and maintain the truck, reporting any issues to the Shipping Supervisor.*
•*Sort, load, transport, and deliver items to clients and businesses in a safe and timely manner.*
•*Collect payments and issue receipts during deliveries.*
Qualifications:
•*Valid CLASS 5 Driver's License (Air brakes preferred) with a minimum of 3 years of commercial driving experience.*
•*Clean driving abstract.*
•*Knowledge of food products and the distribution industry is an asset.*
•*Strong communication skills and excellent customer service.*
•*Physically fit, capable of lifting weights between 20 lbs. to 80 lbs. consistently.*
•*Familiarity with delivery areas (Vancouver Island and Greater Vancouver) is a plus.*
•*Forklift/power jack operation knowledge is an advantage (Certification provided if needed).*
•*Excellent attendance record and a positive work ethic.*
•*Must have valid work authorization in Canada.*
•*Current residents of Vancouver, BC only.*
Working Conditions:
•*Weekday shifts, 5 or 6 days a week, with potential overtime.*
•*Exposure to wet/cold conditions and road traffic.*
•*Physically demanding, requiring long periods of driving, sitting, and walking.*
