We're Dog Jogs, a local family-owned professional pet care provider in Edmonton and surrounding areas. Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week

What we offer:
- On-the-job training and ongoing training
- Free exercise (yes, you get paid to jog and walk dogs!)
- Continuous in-field support

- Be available at least 3 weekdays, plus at least one weekend a month, between the hours of 9am-5pm.
- Drive to clients' homes and care for their pets. Besides jogging or walking a dog, you will also be responsible for scooping litter boxes, refreshing water bowls, feeding, and administering medication as required.
- Pretend you're a professional pet photographer while on each pet visit! We hope you like taking selfies, videos, and filling up your phone with cute pet pictures!
- Send a detailed update to the Pet Parents via our free app with some of those amazing photos you took.
- A mix of dog jogs (yes, actually jogging!), walks, and cat visits during workdays.
- Take over our Instagram stories from time to time to share about your day as a Dog Jogger.
- Possibly assist with other tasks when needed such as blog writing, content creation for social media, putting up posters, and handing out information about Dog Jogs within the communities you walk in.
- Canadian citizens or legally authorized to work in Canada for at least the next 12 months
- Able to commit for a minimum of 12 months
- Over 18 years of age (due to insurance)
- Have a smartphone with data
- Own your own reliable vehicle and be comfortable driving in all weather conditions
- The ability to jog 6-10km in an hour (the average dog jog), PLUS walk 3-10km for the rest of your workday walking dogs
- Able to provide a current and clean police record check
- Work in all types of weather, including some extreme cold/hot temperatures (under safe procedures)
- Be willing to travel to all areas we service when needed.
- Have some understanding/experience working with reactive dogs; experience using positive reinforcement is a plus

- You're in the middle of a dog jog when you realize you've lost your car keys. What do you do?

- While we strive to keep our staff working closer to home, some days we need help in different areas of the city. We service all of Edmonton, St.Albert, Sherwood Park, Ardrossan, Beaumont, Leduc are you willing to drive to these locations?
