With additional bases in Manitoba and Southern Ontario, we provide private, corporate, and medevac flight services as far north as the Arctic Circle and as far south as the Equator. We fly when and where our passengers need to go! All of us provide the highest level of safety, comfort, and care to our passengers – every flight.
$28 – $35 per hour based on approximately 40 hours per week. Start rate will be commensurate with education and experience. Salary progression based on merit. Hours may vary based on operational needs and requirements.

Job Summary & Responsibilities:
The person will be responsible for managing the full recruitment cycle for various positions within the company. This role requires a proactive individual with exceptional communication and organizational skills, who can effectively identify, attract, and onboard top talent to meet our growing needs. They work to improve the level of engagement, satisfaction, and commitment among employees at Sky Care by designing and implementing strategies and initiatives that foster a positive work culture and enhance the overall employee experience.
Responsibilities include:

• Collaborate with hiring managers to understand the requirements and objectives for open positions.
• Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates.
• Create and post job advertisements on various job boards and social media platforms.
• Screen resumes and applications, conduct initial phone interviews, schedule and conduct interviews.
• Coordinate and conduct interviews, providing feedback and recommendations to hiring managers.
• Conduct reference checks and background screenings.
• Extend job offers and coordinate the onboarding process for new hires.
• Build and maintain a network of potential candidates through proactive sourcing and relationship-building.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in recruitment and talent acquisition.
• Developing and maintaining a positive work culture that fosters employee engagement and well-being.
• Ensuring that employee crew houses are maintained and stocked appropriately.
• Arranging business travel and accommodation for employees.
• Facilitating use of Company travel credit cards and monitoring travel budgets.
• Assisting with marketing and communications.
• Welcome new employees (either in person or via phone/video call) and provide them with information they need to start working at Sky Care including review of general Company processes and procedures.

Qualifications:

• University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of previous recruitment experience
• Required to obtain and maintain satisfactory CPIC (Criminal Record Check)
• Willing to relocate to Sioux Lookout and travel from time to time to other base locations in St. Andrews, Manitoba; Kitchener and Thunder Bay, Ontario
• Legally eligible to work in Canada

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills with sound judgement to know when to consult/escalate to Manager-level
• Ability to work flexible hours, as required
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Solution-focused approach, using excellent diplomacy to understand divergent perspectives.
• Good computer skills; proficiency in MS Office, with emphasis on Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Ability to demonstrate professionalism and strong teamwork skills.
• Demonstrated flexibility and organizational skills to meet established deadlines in a dynamic work environment with shifting priorities, multiple demands, and some urgency.
