The role
Sokin is looking for a Financial Analyst who will play a critical role in supporting our financial operations by providing comprehensive analysis, reporting, and forecasting. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of global financial markets.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and profitability analysis.
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to support strategic decision-making.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze financial data.
- Perform financial forecasting and budgeting, identifying potential risks and opportunities.
- Ad hoc analysis and project support as required.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and economic conditions.
- Manages financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Creates variance analysis reports and financial models.
- Leads real-time financial performance monitoring.
- Escalates any financial issues to management.
- Sets and tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives.
- Completes market research and comparable company analysis.
- Recommends strategies for increasing financial performance.
- Presents detailed monthly financial reports to managers.
- Uses popular financial planning and analysis software.
- Manages more-junior financial planning analysts.
- Collaborates with senior members of the accounting and finance teams.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in a similar role
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong work ethic
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a global team, as well as independently.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven mindset with a strong spirit.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence key stakeholders, both written and verbal/over the phone/via email.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling tools.
- Demonstrates excellent financial and quantitative skills.
- Communicates effectively and has strong presentation skills.
- Works independently using project management skills.
- Builds strong working relationships and has leadership skills.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) preferred.
- Previous experience working in a Fin Tech/Start-Up environment, proven experience as a Financial Analyst or similar role.
- 20 days annual leave (not including public holidays)
