POSITION TITLE: FUND ACCOUNTANT
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist with preparation of financial statements for both internal and external users
Prepare year-end audit working paper files within scheduled deadlines
Assist in preparation of tax working papers and review of inputs
Liaise with management and third-party financial information providers
Record month-end adjusting entries and capital entries for investment funds
Prepare investor distributions and other payments
Assist with coding of invoices to the correct fund and general ledger accounts
Complete ad-hoc projects for internal and external reporting purposes
Assist with other department functions as required

QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience:

One to two years of experience in accounting and financial reporting
Preference for experience in equity method accounting. Investment company and real estate experience a plus.

Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:

Excellent analytical, problem solving, and time management skills required
Strong interpersonal and communication skills required
Strong organization skills and detail oriented
Individual must be motivated, deadline-oriented and work well with others
Good business judgment and ability to perform multiple tasks without frequent direction.
Resourceful; able to solve problems and work independently.
Knowledge of Yardi preferred
