Position Overview
The Halal Investment Sales Associate will work independently to market our shariah-compliant real estate fund to accredited investors which provides an ethical interest-free asset-backed return.
Warm calls, scheduling meetings, investor pitches, this is very much a roll up the sleeves and get it done position. The successful candidate should be passionate about investments, real estate and the halal industry, as well as being at ease in a client-facing sales role.
Our halal investment products are exempt market private real estate development opportunities and we pride ourselves in providing the highest client service to our investors.
This is an in-office position working out of our Pickering head office. At this time we will only be considering candidates residing in the Greater Toronto Area.
Compensation consists of a base salary plus a bonus structure.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Responsible for scaling up our assets under management by marketing our Shariah-compliant offerings
- The role is a combination of sales (70%) and business development (30%)
- Develop strong relationships with prospective investors with a focus on client service and establishing long term relationships
- Maintain a deep understanding and technical knowledge of offerings in order to provide the best solutions for Investors
- Understand and resonate with the halal environment in Canada and become an Islamic Finance ambassador
- Host client intake meetings with prospective investors to explain the offerings, investment process, structuring, returns, risk and other relevant factors
- Clearly communicate our offerings and assist investors in understanding all subscription documentation, funding requirements, and post-close activities
- Maintain up to date investor files and information on the CRM software
- Provide sound and appropriate advice to meet the investor’s objectives
- Growth opportunity to coach and manage team of sales representatives
- Assist in various marketing efforts such as creating investor presentations, webinars, and educational materials
- Minimum 4+ years financial services, real estate, investments or related sales experience in a client facing capacity
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing a growing portfolio of clients
- A post-secondary degree and/or qualification in a related field, including Business, Finance, Real Estate , Investments
- Passion for Halal products and community outreach, specifically with regards to educating about Islamic Finance
- Effective verbal and written communications skills: ability to explain development strategies and offering details, and handle client concerns in a professional and appropriate manner
- Strong sense of ownership, responsibility, and accountability
- Understanding and interest in financial services and investments
- Passion for selling and a track record of meeting and exceeding targets
- Proficiency with a large CRM database is preferred (I.e. Salesforce, Zoho, etc.)
- Self-starter, ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the best interest of the company
- Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, think outside of the box and deliver solutions
- Thorough knowledge of the regulatory environment and other aspects of private capital markets
- Organized and can work well under pressure, meet strict deadlines
- Real estate experience and/or exempt market investment experience in private equity/debt is preferred
- Fluency in more than one language is an asset
- Access to vehicle for travel

Pay: $65,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
