The team:
Scotiabank’s Global Technology Enterprise Platforms (GTEP) is responsible for managing and supporting ILMT and IBM Big Fix infrastructure, following the guidelines, standards, and definitions of Global Technology Services (GTS) Global Operations covering Canada, Caribbean, Latin America (LATAM) and various other countries. We manage and implement new technology, security patches and software deployment across the bank, as well as collaborate in the process of continuous improvement to the different subsidiaries under the direction of globalization and consolidation of applications and services.


The role:
You will play critical role on various software currency projects & the roll out ILMT globally. You are responsible for requirements gathering, including work with business clients, process teams and other related support teams, plus act as a liaison between business and the various support teams. You will create test plans, test strategies, and perform manual/automation testing. As an active collaborator on end-to-end projects, you will follow up with troubleshooting of any production issues reported and fix, if required, any further enhancement(s) and ensure working product are delivered with quality.

• You are highly interested in ILMT Administration & Operation.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?

• You can demonstrate strong communication (verbal/written) skills. In addition, you also have good interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and external business partners and vendors.
• You have at least 5+ years of hands-on technical working experience in supporting, deploying, and interconnecting various technologies (e.g., networks, directory service, storage, applications, desktops, etc…) at an enterprise scale.
• You have at least 5+ years of hands-on technical working experience with various ILMT and Big Fix software deployment technologies.
• You have at least 2+ years of hands-on technical working experience with general OS support on any Linux and/or flavour of Unix OS.
• You possess superior problem solving and decision-making skills to resolve work issues with the ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
• You possess a strong core foundation experience in fundamental software deployment technologies via the use of shell scripting.
• You have completed a post-secondary education in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technology-based major.
