With approximately 3,300 employees, JBS Food Canada ULC (“JBS Canada”) is one of Canada's largest beef processors. Consisting of four locations—the main processing facility located in Brooks, Alberta, where approximately 4,200 head of cattle are harvested and processed daily; the Head Office and a case ready plant, both based in Calgary, Alberta; and JBS Ontario, a case ready plant located in Belleville, Ontario. The JBS Canada facility in Brooks has the capacity to produce products ranging from boxed beef primals, ground beef, beef trimmings, beef by-products and hides which are shipped across Canada and worldwide. At the multi-protein Mountain Creek Farms case-ready facility in Calgary, JBS Canada produces value-added products including marinated, portion sized, multi-pack options, kebabs and much more. JBS Ontario in Belleville produces fresh meat and seafood products for leading retailers in Canada.

NOTE: This role will be located in Belleville, ON.
Position Summary:
The incumbent possesses excellent communication skills and has exposure to meat/food processing industry. They are responsible for the repair and maintenance of equipment in a manufacturing environment while adhering to the Company objectives pertaining to quality, customer service, efficiency and the safety of all employees. The incumbent will present a professional and respectful attitude when dealing with both internal and external contacts and will work towards facilitating a team atmosphere within the facility.
You will:
Safety
- To ensure safety polices and procedures are adhered to at all times
- To take a proactive approach to safety and prevent injuries from occurring
- To have a full understanding of all safe work procedures including all lockout procedures
- To ensure department is kept clean and housekeeping is at high standards to ensure a safe work environment
General Duties
- The Electrician is responsible for delivering required equipment maintenance (both preventive maintenance program elements and unexpected maintenance requirements) for all facility equipment.
- Troubleshooting and maintaining the Main Conveyor Control panel.
- Electrical troubleshooting of all HVAC equipment.
- Ensures the proper installation, repair and maintenance of all Service Centre related production equipment.
- Ensures the facility operates in accordance with CFIA and HACCP guidelines.
- Provides recommendations to continuously improve maintenance processes to meet customer expectations and minimize waste.
- Ensures a safe working environment for all employees.
- Promotes ongoing mutual collaboration between the maintenance team and operating/processing personnel.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- Enforces and follows all HACCP procedures and is committed to food safety.
- To ensure superior product through efficient equipment operations.
- Complete HACCP logs as required.
- Licensed Industrial Electrician
- Knowledgeable of department.
- Maintains a good attendance record and willing to work various shifts as needed.
- Good communication skills with co-workers.
