About the Position:

This position will be at our Feature Walters facility. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintaining consumables and inventory records for equipment and supplies and installation, timely repair and preventative maintenance of various equipment and machinery located in and around the Plant, Property and Offices. Main responsibilities include:
  • Maintain the inventory records for equipment and supplies.
  • Procure, source parts, and obtain quotes for machinery, equipment and buildings as needed. Track and expedite delivery of parts and services to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Establish and maintain good rapport with vendors, suppliers, and co-workers.
  • Respond to maintenance service requests in a timely manner as assigned by the Team Leader, Department Head, and/or Plant Manager
  • Inspect equipment and machinery for deficiencies and investigate any irregularities. Reports deficiencies or irregularities to the Team Leader, Department Head and/or Plant Manager or generate the necessary work order request.
  • Performs maintenance on Steel cutting machines, grinders, CNC machinery, and fabrication equipment.
  • Perform scheduled inspections on all relevant equipment including cranes, lifting devices, machinery.
  • Perform basic maintenance such as installing building signage and repairing fences.
  • Perform Preventative Maintenance routines according to schedule on equipment as directed to by the Team Leader, Department Head and/or Plant Manager to ensure equipment is in proper working order. Document and correct any irregularities to keep track of equipment performance.

Position Requirements:
  • Completion of High School or equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance/manufacturing in an industrial setting.
  • Valid drivers' license.
  • Knowledge of crane, machine control centers, HVAC, and electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic operating systems.
  • Basic ability to troubleshoot repairs.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety procedures .
  • A team player, who can interrelate and operate effectively with peers and other associates within a collegial, yet demanding, work environment.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive in a complex environment with multiple priorities.
  • Organization Skills and the ability to be flexible in managing changing priorities.
  • Communication Skills – Both Written and Oral.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
