Industrial Painter, Full Time
Mac Kinnon & Olding has an immediate need for Painters to join its team in Nova Scotia and Quebec. This position has potential for a Monday – Friday schedule or 4 weeks on, 2 weeks off rotation based on location.
RESPONSIBILITIES: What you will do

• Application and/or removal of protective coatings;
• Necessary maintenance of tools and equipment;
• Ensure the most effective use of all equipment and materials on contract;
• Operate equipment to clean, wash, strip, sand, remove corrosion, fill dents or otherwise prepare items for application of paint, lacquer or other protective coatings;
• Operate hand-held spray guns to spray paint or coat stationary items;
• Clean and maintain painting and coating equipment;
• Adopt safe working practices and promote safety awareness;
• Inspect surfaces for contamination and complete surface preparations prior to applications;
• Other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS: Your background

• 1 year experience in Industrial painting.
• Experience in steel hand/power tool cleaning, abrasive blasting, water jetting and/or spray painting would be considered an asset.
• All successful applicants must meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance.

PAY RATE:$17.88-$35.75
VACATION PAY: $1.43-$2.86
