Salary will be determined in accordance with the Faculty Collective Agreement, based on the candidate’s education and experience.
About the Position
Duties and Responsibilities
· Assist instructors with planning, organizing, and managing learning activities within the Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology program.
· Work closely with students to model appropriate behaviours and be generally accountable for the demonstration of specific skills, tasks, or work practices in a field/laboratory setting.
· Assist the instructor with any courses that have a field/laboratory component.
· Work with instructors to identify the equipment needs for specific field/laboratory activities and be responsible for equipment servicing and maintenance.
· Play a key role in ensuring equipment and supplies are assessed and re-ordered as required.
· Perform other related duties consistent with maintaining quality student-centred learning.
Merit Criteria
Screening Criteria
· Diploma in Electrical or Electronics Engineering Technology or Instrumentation and Controls Engineering Technology.
· Recent, relevant industry experience.
Assessment Criteria
· Knowledge of Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology.
· Knowledge of current teaching/learning methods and classroom management as it applies to field/laboratory settings.
· Commitment to student success strategies.
