Inventory Control and Shrinkage Prevention Officer

Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Monitoring:
- Regularly monitor inventory levels to identify discrepancies.
- Conduct cycle counts and full inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
- Theft and Fraud Prevention:
- Identify and investigate incidents of internal and external theft.
- Implement and enforce policies to prevent fraudulent activities.
- Operational Efficiency:
- Analyze operational processes to identify areas prone to shrinkage.
- Recommend and implement improvements to reduce operational errors.
- Training and Education:
- Train employees on best practices for inventory management and loss prevention.
- Conduct regular refresher courses to keep staff updated on policies and procedures.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare detailed reports on shrinkage incidents and audit findings.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory counts and discrepancies.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with store management to develop and implement shrinkage prevention strategies.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure a cohesive approach to loss prevention.
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in loss prevention or inventory management is a plus.
- Experience:
- Previous experience in loss prevention, inventory management, or a related field preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and tools.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- May require working evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Exposure to various weather conditions during outdoor activities.
