Duties
- A framework of specialized hardware and software tools, personnel and trusted partners.
- The ability to process high volumes of digital data at a reasonable cost and amount of time.
- Visualization tools that will:
o Connect cases;
o Transcription services; and
o Translation services
- A responsive, flexible and modern platform. It supports the dynamic requirements of the RCMP and maintains safeguards.
- Tools to ensure effective governance:
o A Machine Learning Model Manager for changes to test data sets, and machine learning models.

Education:Graduation from a two-year program of study from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Degree equivalency
- Significant experience to lead and coordinate diverse IM/IT teams, (e.g., staff, students, consultants, and project team members).
- Experience to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to develop or implement innovative IM/IT solutions.
- Experience to interpret and analyze business or technical requirements in environments with ambiguity or incomplete information. (e.g., translating these insights into actionable plans for IM/IT application delivery).
- Significant experience in architecting, developing, or maintaining IT applications, demonstrating expertise in one and/or more of the following areas:
b) Back-end development: (e.g., server-side programming, database management, and API development.)
c) Full-stack development: (e.g., Proficiency in both front-end and back-end technologies, with the ability to create comprehensive, end-to-end software solutions.)
Definitions:
“Experience” normally associated with full-time performance of duties may be gained from prior or current employment, education or volunteering.
“Significant” is defined as the experience that would normally be obtained in three (3) years by performing the full range of activities.

Asset Qualifications:Experience:
Experience in one or more high-level programming languages such as Java, C/C++, C#, Python, SAS, or equivalent.
Experience in utilizing scripting and markup/template languages like BASH, Power Shell, YAML, JSON, Jinja, or similar technologies.
- Operating system administration (e.g., Linux, Windows),
- Containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes),
- Monitoring / logging / performance optimization,
- Networking (e.g., TCP/IP, VPNs, SDN)
- Automation and manual: test frameworks and tools
- Test design and strategy development
- CI/CD integration for testing
- Performance testing
- API testing
- Test data management
- Version control for test assets
Experience understanding and applying User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) design.
Experience understanding and applying data analytics, data science, or machine learning methodologies into software applications.
Experience leading or providing substantial contributions to technology assessments and accreditation processes (e.g. Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA), Algorithmic Impact Assessments (AIA), Security Assessments & Accreditation (SA&A).
Operational requirements:
Willing and able to work overtime as and when required
Willing and able to travel as and when required
Required to work onsite on a full-time basis, in a high security zone
