Job Description
We are a busy downtown accounting firm looking for a Junior/Intermediate Accountant with at least 1 year of experience.
This is a Full-time, Permanent position
Qualifications:
1 year of experience in public practice
Working knowledge of Case Ware and Taxprep and accounting software such as Quick Books, Account Edge and Simply Accounting
Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel and Word
Excellent communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as a team member
Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
Responsibilities
Provide exceptional service and work directly with clients
Take ownership of engagements from start to finish,
Prepare personal and corporate tax returns
Prepare T4 and T5 summary and supplementaries
Prepare T3 trust tax returns
Operational compliance with CRA, GST, Work Safe BC
Regular correspondences with Canada Revenue Agency agents
