Role: Lesson Success Coordinator
Position: Part-Time
Location: Remote from home (in Canada)
Reports to: Manager, Lesson Success
Compensation: $17-18/hour
Hours: Part-time, between 10 - 30 hours per week
34% of children entering Kindergarten lack basic reading readiness skills, over 65% of 4th graders read below grade level. Hoot Reading is on a mission to change children’s lives through literacy.
Hoot is the leading online tutoring service providing 1:1, evidence-based literacy instruction with qualified teachers, at scale. We are dedicated to ensuring that children master the foundational literacy skills they need to go on to become deep readers.
Working directly with the Operations team, the Lesson Success Coordinator will assist in executing functions related to our day-to-day business operations and managing our growing client base. They will play a critical role in supporting client communications, managing schedules and user retention. This role is a fit for someone who is highly organized, can work within multiple deadlines in multiple different areas, thrives in a fast-paced start-up environment and isn’t afraid of learning on the fly!
About the role:

• Support parents with managing schedules, timelines, and teacher communication
• Support teachers with scheduling and communications
• Provide above-and-beyond customer service to parents and teachers
• Complete various reports related to our day-to-day operations
• Be part of something awesome and meaningful!

The ideal candidate:

• Has excellent written and oral communication
• Is extremely organized, very organized, and did we mention you must be organized?
• Has experience with customer service, is friendly, and able to handle customer concerns
• Has experience in troubleshooting and problem solving
• Is comfortable working from home in a distraction-free environment
• Is legally entitled to work in Canada

Hours:

• Exact schedule to be determined, the position requires coverage during operating hours acting as a Help Desk for our teachers and parents
• Help Desk hours occur between 8 am and 9 pm CST weekdays and weekends 8 am - 3 pm CST
